YAMASHITA means “below the mountain”

Inspired by Hobart’s iconic Mt Wellington, the name YAMASHITA translates from Japanese meaning “below the mountain”.

We strive to express Hobart in our restaurant, incorporating the Tasman Bridge in our logo and in our food by combining local produce with Japanese cooking methods to delight our plates.
